Who We Are
DermLegal was founded by board-certified dermatologists who understand firsthand the challenges of operating a busy clinical practice while navigating the complex requirements of California’s Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) and Agreed Medical Evaluator (AME) system.
Our mission is to support and streamline medicolegal practice opportunities for dermatologists throughout California. We recognize that most clinical practices do not have the infrastructure or administrative capacity to manage the demanding timelines and documentation required to participate effectively in the medicolegal environment.
At the same time, California faces increasing demand for qualified, board-certified dermatology experts to assist in resolving disputes involving injured or ill workers and employers. This includes complex matters involving the Department of Labor, the Subsequent Injury Benefits Trust Fund (SIBTF), and cases with multi-system involvement.
With extensive experience in the QME/AME process and a physician-led leadership team, DermLegal provides the structure and support specialists need to deliver objective, well-supported evaluations that meet California’s rigorous standards.
